I married my beautiful wife Joy in 2016; she hails from a large family in the Philippines. I have posted some photos from both of our two weddings below. The first wedding was in the U.S. in Union, NJ as Joy has been a U.S. citizen for many years, and the second one was three weeks later in the Philippines where Joy’s 87 year old father walked her down the aisle in her hometown church in Victorias City, Philippines.

In September 2022, Joy and I moved from New Jersey to Sarasota, FL, coinciding with my retirement from Kean University where I was Professor of Music since 1997; I was subsequently appointed Professor Emeritus at Kean in May 2023. For our first two years in Sarasota, Joy continued to work online for Mt. Sinai Hospital of New York, but in December 2024 she retired from her outstanding forty-year career as a New York City nurse.

We have continued to visit with our families from Maine, Minnesota, and the Philippines, and recently celebrated my mother Tamara's 92nd birthday (top left photo below). We have some wonderful neighbors in Sarasota and have enjoyed a number of musicales in our home as you can see below.
We are both are thrilled with the fantastic musical offerings in Sarasota, and in the last few months have attended so many performances by the Sarasota Orchestra, the Sarasota Opera, and Sarasota Ballet, and have made many friends! We both enjoy a strong Christian faith and believe it is not an accident that we are in Florida after visiting and considering many other U.S. cities (even Honolulu, Hawaii!) To quote Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” So here we are!!! We’ve also posted a few photos of our wonderful new life here in Sarasota!
